We are dedicated to the preservation and education of African-American military history.

Jonathan Holmes Sr.

Chairman of the Board/Founding Member

Mr. Holmes Sr. is a native New Yorker who still misses the smell of a good NYC pizza. His love for the arts proved to be his natural calling as an alumnus of the School of the Performing Arts in New York City. He further pursued his passion for the arts as he attended the University of Maryland at College Park and overseas in Munich Germany.

Mr. Holmes has over 35 years of experience in the studies of graphic design, architecture, digital animation, videography, photography, computer science, and networking. Mr. Holmes years of leadership and mentoring comes with being a proud and decorated Disabled Veteran of both the U. S. Army and Air Force. Mr. Holmes has over 19 years of military fortitude in the careers of Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Aircraft Weapons Specialist, and Engineers Reproduction Specialist.

Mr. Holmes owned several businesses in the areas of interactive development and is an accomplished UAS pilot since 2013. Mr. Holmes vision for more community inclusion and diversity brought forth the establishment of the first free standing heritage hall for African American military history on a military installation.

Brian Olmsted

2nd Vice President

Brian Olmsted has worked for the Air Force Armament Museum Foundation since 2019. He serves as assistant to the director and gift shop manager. He also serves on the Foundation as Board Secretary. He retired from the Illinois Air National Guard after 21 years of service as a firefighter in Civil Engineering.

Mr. Olmsted has more than 20 years’ experience in higher education in marketing, public relations, and media relations, and teaching in journalism, developmental reading, developmental English, and more. He has vast experience in retail and worked in industry for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

Mr. Olmsted earned a Master of Science in Adult Education from Northern Illinois University and an Associate in Applied Science in Fire Science Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.

Pamela Holmes

CFO/CTO/Founding Member

Pamela Holmes has over 30 years of experience in multiple leadership roles. She is currently employed as a software engineer for a DOD contractor on Eglin AFB. In addition to software development and multimedia design

Mrs. Holmes has experience as a small business owner and she has held corporate level managerial positions in human resources, technical documentation, and accounting.

Growing up as a military Army brat and being married to a retired disabled Air Force veteran has given her firsthand exposure to military life and ignited her interest in military history.

Mrs. Holmes earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Web Design and Development from Full Sail University.

Jonathan Holmes Jr.

Jonathan Holmes Jr. is a freelance photographer, cinematographer and an Air Force Museum Curator. He served 9 years in the United States Army, operating in multiple specialties during his career. Including Supply specialist, Field Artillery and Combat Engineer.
